Life is full of unexpected turns, so I want to leave these words as a record.

My dear children, as students, your most important task is to learn and to grow. Learning never ends.

I once told you that it falls into two main areas: languages—such as English, Mandarin, Hokkien, mathematics, and even music—and interests—like skating, baseball, violin, or robotics.

For languages, you must keep improving. For interests, since you choose them yourselves, you must commit fully and give your best effort. What matters most is not talent alone, but full participation.

Grades do matter, but they are not the only thing. What I truly hope is that you can always be proud of your work. And when results are not ideal, remember: the most important lesson is to be honest with yourself. For only honesty leads to true integrity—a life that is whole, consistent, and genuine.

On my 45th birthday, I am grateful for what my family has taught me, and I am reminded that love should always be expressed in time.

My wish is that you will keep learning, correcting, and growing—and that you will also walk on the path of transcendence, seeking goodness, truth, and beauty—until you become people who make both yourselves and those who love you proud.

With love and blessings.
